A problem we occasionally face is that when some repairers decide it’s time for a new machine they ideally want it delivering the next day.  Sometimes this isn’t a problem if (a) we have the exact machine in our showroom, (b) the customer will accept it in the colour we have already painted it, and (c) he has the readies available!

However, the above represents the “Best-Case-Scenario”.  Far more usually the prospective customer will require his finisher to have electric tumble, or a third trimming head, or be painted in an exotic colour to match his shop.  There can be any number of changes from our standard specification to create his ideal machine.  In fact as much as 80% of the machinery we construct is entirely bespoke.  At this stage we make the customer aware that all this takes time and that he will need to patient for (usually) about 4-6 weeks whilst his machine is built to his requirements.

If the customer has received a written quotation from us beforehand he will be aware of the expected delivery time and usually this doesn’t prove to be a problem.  Other times it can be an issue if, say, the repairer is about to sign a contract for his new shop, and the night before starts casting his net for his repairing machinery!

We’d be the first to admit that up to six weeks is a long time from placing an order to receiving the finished machine, even though usually we have it ready a lot sooner, but there are a number of things to consider: -

There will be several machines in the works here at various stages of completion when your order is placed, and your order will need to be fitted into the production schedule – it wouldn’t pay for us to have all our men standing around, poised for the phone to ring.  We wouldn’t be around much longer if we worked that way!

It also takes time to construct the metal work, pick the components, paint the bodywork and build the completed and BESPOKE machine.

We then have to find a mutually convenient window for our lorry to deliver your new equipment.  With the best will in the world, this all takes time.

So, please be aware of this, and please give us a little time!
