The above statement is nothing new to Charlotte, our new storespersonat Standard Engineering Ltd. Already she is used to customers telephoning for a part or consumable on their finisher or stitcher with no clue as to the name of the machine, the part itself, or even what the machine does!
Even helpful information such as, “It has a Standard badge on it” (as do most repair machines built in the last 100 years), or “The machine’s orange if that helps…?” (It doesn’t!) can’t always guarantee we can identify the machine in question, let alone supply the correct part.
To try and help, we have devoted the “Consumables and Accessories” page of their website to listing the most comm consumables and replaceable parts of a host of existing and rather more extinct machinery. So whether you need a left hand threaded breaster screw for your Whitfield 700, a bobbin for your DN76, or a contact wheel for your Power Unit, you should make this new resource your first port of call.
